IMC report published - Murphy announces sanctions

NIO Secretary Paul Murphy has announced that sanctions are to be imposed on parties allegedly linked to paramilitary groups, who, he claims are still involved in violence in the Six Counties. Speaking on Irish radio station Newstalk 106, Sinn Féin's Alex Maskey said in advance of the announcement that the party would reject any unfair, biased sanctions. Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams will tonight address a meeting of Dublin activists on the IMC report.  View more


 
IMC has no credibility

Addressing the Report of the IMC and the British Government response to it, Sinn Féin Assembly member for West Belfast Bairbre de Brún said that her party 'did not accept the IMC and would politically fight the governments on this report and the sanctions it imposes'.  View more
