Legal attempt made to stop IMC report
A legal attempt is being made at the High Court in Belfast this morning to prevent publication of the report of the Independent Monitoring Commission in Parliament tomorrow. Lawyers for Thomas Tolan, one of four west Belfast men charged with the attempted kidnapping of republican dissident Bobby Tohill from a city centre pub in February, are claiming that the report will prejudice his trial. McBride family to return to Belfast High Court
The family of murdered Belfast teenager Peter Mc Bride, will return to Belfast High Court tomorrow morning to judicially review the refusal of the Ministry of Defence to dismiss two soldiers, Mark Wright and James Fisher, who were convicted of the 1992 murder. In June 2003 the Court of Appeal ruled that there were no exceptional circumstances justifying retention of the two. View more
